The Alnmouth Digital History Project (ADHP) is a community archive project based in Alnmouth, Northumberland. This website is operated by the project team to preserve and share local historical material.
What data we collect
- Enquiry form: Your name, email address, and message when you submit an enquiry about an archive item.
- Contributor accounts: Name, email address, and organisation membership for registered contributors who upload and manage items.
- Server logs: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) retained for security and performance monitoring.

- To respond to your enquiries about archive items.
- To manage contributor access and maintain the archive.
- To monitor and improve the performance and security of the site.
We do not sell your data or use it for marketing. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Legal basis
We process personal data on the basis of legitimate interest (operating a community archive and responding to enquiries) and consent (when you voluntarily submit an enquiry or create an account).
Data retention
Enquiry data is retained for up to 2 years after the last communication. Contributor account data is retained for the duration of the account. Server logs are retained for 90 days.
